David Carlin King, vocalist, pianist, composer, and arranger is one of America’s premier talents. His extensive music repertoire spans the gamut from his show NEIL DIAMOND starring DAVID CARLIN KING and the Gold Diamond Band, to his new hit show THE SOARING 70s. From rock and roll and cool jazz, King's work shines in the blues, to unforgettable pop and folk renditions, to his long running Great American Music Show. Mr. King has performed both in the United States and in 29 countries around the world as a solo artist and as a member of various performing tours. David has shared the stage with such greats as John Fogarty, Joe Perry, Winton Marsalis, Roberta Flack, Judy Collins, and an impressive list of many more. He has also performed for US Presidents and Foreign Dignitaries. Mr. King divides his time between his performing career and heading up The Carlin Company as a much sought-after producer and director for film, conventions, trade shows, industrial shows, and live concerts. With his master’s degree in Music Composition and Theory, his professional career also includes song writing, scoring, and music direction for some of the biggest stars in the industry. David Carlin King is “Music at its very best.”
Booking
Both the NEIL DIAMOND show and THE SOARING 70s show starring DAVID CARLIN KING and The Gold Diamond Band, are riveting interpretations of America's best music. The instrumentation is guitar, keyboards, bass, electric violin, and drums with an elaborate back wall of soundtracks arranged by Mr. King. In “Broadway Show style,” DAVID CARLIN KING and The Gold Diamond Band include network quality audience engaging video segments and animations throughout the show. We arrive 4 hours prior to performance to setup stage equipment and make necessary connections into your house PA and lights. If possible, we would like to speak with sound engineer at your facility to briefly discuss your system and any secondary equipment we may need to connect into your venue. We are also completely self-contained with PA if you prefer.
Our set formats include: One 90 min set, or two 45 min sets with intermission.
Payment: is due after the show via cash or check.

A VIEW FROM THE IVORIES offers what few are able to obtain, the back story of prominent people who we revere -- their “humanness” as well as their star quality. With the piano as a trusted companion and metaphor, David Carlin King brings the reader down to the footlights, illustrating our commonalities rather than our differences.
From humble beginnings, surrounded by a combination of music and heart, King offers the reader a unique perspective – the ability to make his clients shine when their lights were dim. His ability to respond technically and thoughtfully gave these heroes the freedom to be the very best they could be in trying times.
An award-winning entertainer as well as event, film, and music producer, David Carlin King has worked alongside such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey, Wynton Marsalis, Judy Collins, Tommy Lasorda, and Laura Bush. His rise to the stage came at the age of eleven, having been chosen to star on PBS’s Music Enriches Life’s signature child artist program. He’s performed in 32 countries with touring groups, and produced events nationally and internationally, as well as having an extraordinary career at the piano.
